Ashley Darby Claps Back At #RHOP Fans Clowning Her “Bunions” and “Big Forehead”

Real Housewives of Potomac star, Ashley Darby, offered a self-esteem pep-talk to her Instagram followers on Thursday—after the reality star was called out for her less than glamorous feet.

Ashley took to Instagram stories to respond to a critic’s insensitive snark—and share a girl-power message.

“I recently got a very interesting message from a lady asking me: how do you feel comfortable showing your feet?” Ashley said. “It’s no secret I have bunions. I was born with them— as I’ve gotten older, my feet have progressively gotten worse.”

Ashley grabbed the opportunity to cheer imperfection—sharing a pic of her pedicured toes.

“Now hear this my loves,” she said. “My feet they get me from point A to point B to C and right back to A again. So there is never any way that I would be ashamed of who I am. Check it out. This is who I am: blisters, bunions.”

Ashley encouraged her followers to keep it real, while interacting in the  sometimes harsh world of social media.

“This is one of the best things about social media and living in an age of sharing information is previously these things were seen as imperfections … No, babe, everyone has imperfections,” Ashley said. “So the next time someone tries to come at you sideways because maybe you have a larger forehead — yes I know I have a big forehead, there’s a lot of knowledge up in here — or because your booty doesn’t look like the ones in the magazines or music videos, Boo! You are you. Perfect just the way [you are.]”

Share your thoughts on Ashley’s motivational message—and watch The Real Housewives of Potomac, tonight at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
