The statement reads that all Chanel branded goods offered and sold by the Montclair NJ shop have been deemed “counterfeit and illegal.” The store has been declared a Chanel-free zone, but no explanation was given as to why the authenticity of the products was not verified.

The boutique, spottily featured on the Bravo reality show, has certainly had it’s share of ups and downs. Melissa partnered to open the business in 2016 with Jackie Beard Robinson — but the partnership crashed and burned when Jackie decided to withdraw from the venture, citing Melissa’s poor business skills. She cleaned out her inventory and sold it off at a January 2017 fire sale at Posche — a competing boutique owned by cast frenemy, Kim DePaola.

Melissa
bashed her former partner as a thief on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, which triggered Jackie to file a $30 million lawsuit against Melissa, Andy Cohen, NBCUniversal, and the show’s producers. In March, Jackie’s attorney filed a document opposing their motion to dismiss the case.
