As reported, Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer endured a boat ride from hell during a cast trip in Colombia, South America.

Reportedly, their chartered vessel caught fire and started to sink and after the nightmare occurred, rumors circulated that The Real Housewives of New York cast considered taking legal action against the network.

“If they even think about a lawsuit against Bravo they will all be fired and replaced,” a source told Radar.

Housewives typically receive five-star luxury treatment on cast trips, however, the boat chartered to transport the ladies to Cartagena, Colombia was dilapidated.

“Once they were ushered on board, the boat couldn’t even move. The anchor got stuck, so the crew had to saw the anchor off before they could sail anywhere. When they got out to sea, the engine caught fire. It was a huge blaze and the crew was fighting to put it out. They didn’t have a fire extinguisher nor did they speak English.”

While Frankel, 47, Singer, 61, and Medley, 53, were “soaked and screaming hysterically,” Radziwill, 54, and Mortimer, 42, were “throwing up” before a passing boat came to their rescue.

However, the scary incident may not have been as nightmarish as retold by eyewitnesses.

“Bravo has footage from the boat and there was no fire or rescue boat,” an insider told Radar. “The series is dull and they are trying to build up drama!”

Once the women made it to dry land, they immediately departed South America on the first thing smoking. A spectator captured a photo of Ramona Singer in a wheelchair at the airport. Bethenny, Dorinda and Sonja are huddled on the floor.

Bravo also downplayed the incident in a statement:

“On the return trip to the mainland, the boat encountered turbulent water, which caused the anchor to deploy unexpectedly. At no time was the vessel in danger of sinking, nor was a rescue required. Thankfully, everyone is fine. The safety of our cast and crew is paramount and, to that end, we are still reviewing the situation.”
