Meghan King Edmonds is opening up in the wake of her Real Housewives of Orange County exit — explaining why she allegedly chose to walk, after a three season run.

The “meanness” factor ultimately influenced her decision, according to the latest RHOC castoff.

“I don’t enjoy the meanness that inherently comes with being a part of the cast. I despise mean people,” Meghan told the Life & Style, adding that the reunion taping triggered her supposed decision to leave. “Going into the Season 12 reunion I wanted to come back for Season 13, but by the end of the reunion I knew I was going to leave.”

Meghan is expecting twin boys with her husband, Jim Edmonds, and the couple shares a daughter, Aspen, 14 months. Meghan explained that Jim nudged her to make her decision thoughtfully.

“My husband urged me to sit on my decision for a while so I went back and forth for about a month before coming to my final decision,” Meghan said.

Meghan revealed that she also consulted a psychic, Mystic Michaela, for advice — but evidently, Michaela only shrugged her shoulders.

“She said I could stay or leave and it was completely up to me,” Meghan shared. “She could see my life outcomes with either decision.”

While she won’t miss the reality rollercoaster, Meghan told the outlet that she would miss her co-stars, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. She feels confident that the trio “will always keep in touch.”

The Bravo sleuth turned dramatic mommy revealed that she was on her way out, in a January blog post.

“Today is a bittersweet day for me. After three seasons of the rollercoaster that is The Real Housewives of Orange County I’ve decided to hang up my OC Housewife hat,” she wrote. “As you might suspect filming this show takes a massive emotional toll: I’m literally filming my real life in real time and engaged in situations and circumstances which can be contentious.”

As fans know, Meghan spent much of last season analyzing common trials of early motherhood. Meghan reiterated that filming a reality show while adjusting to a new normal was difficult.

“I had a newborn and had to hire a full time live-in nanny (my cousin) so as to allow me the flexibility to meet my obligations of continuous days and long hours of filming, traveling, etc,” Meghan said.

Viewers will be spared Meghan’s post-twins reality — the former Bravoleb turning her full focus on family and her personal care line, The King Collection by K Hall Studio.
