#90DayFiance David Toborowsky’s Son Is Recovering After Being Shot in the Face!
90 Day Fiance star David Toborowsky’s teen son was shot in the face with a handgun on January 28.
Jacob Toborowsky lived through the horrible ordeal, that typically ends fatally.
“The doctor said he’s the second luckiest patient he has ever seen in his life,” the family member told Radar. “There is a 5% survivability rate with this type of injury. His doctor said, ‘I can’t believe I’m standing here talking to you!’”
The 18-year-old survived but is not out of the woods. He’s dealing with a “lot of pain” — having a bullet lodged in his cheek.
“He went to the doctor, but the swelling is too bad to take a good look at it,” the insider said. “The doctor said he may need to stay with the bullet in there for the rest of his life. It’s more of a risk taking it out in some cases.”
The young man will have to learn to cope with his life-long injury introspectively.
“At the end of the day his life will never be the same. He has to do deep soul-searching,” the source revealed. “He will need to help others, and help in getting guns off the street.”
Jacob was taken to the hospital after his friend (16-year old boy) accidentally shot him — the unnamed minor was not aware the firearm was loaded. Reportedly, the gun did not belong to David or his family.
Jacob told his older sister, Ashley Toborowsky, “He pulled the gun out and was waving it around and told [Jacob] and assured him that the safety was on and that there were no bullets in that gun,” Ashley told local Fox-affiliated television station WDRB.
David, 48, appeared on the most recent season of TLC series 90 Day Fiance with his wife, Annie.
