Luann de Lesseps was bestowed with the prestigious title of “Countess” when she married French aristocrat Count Alexandre de Lesseps in 1993. And although they divorced in 2009, she retained the courtesy title “Countess” and the use of his last name.

Luann relinquished her “Countess” title in 2016 when she remarried to Tom D’Agostino. After the couple divorced in 2017, she resumed used of her prestigious previous last name — de Lesseps.

Naturally, the Count is “mortified and ashamed,” over The Real Housewives of New York star’s drunken Palm Beach arrest, which involves trespassing with a mystery man during a sexual tryst, assaulting and threatening police officers. After being taken into custody, Luann allegedly tried to escape from the back of a police car, after being cuffed, and screamed, “I’m going to f*cking kill you!”

Reportedly, the Count is very concerned that his ex-wife’s wild antics will tarnish the legacy of his family name.

“He told her she is ruining the family name and should drop it if she’s continuing to act like this.” A source told Page Six. “He is watching from abroad and is totally embarrassed.”

The “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” songstress has fallen HARD, and the fall out from this front-page scandal may result in losing the use of the “de Lesseps” name.

The Count is considering filing a legal injunction to strip Luann of the “de Lesseps” name, which would force her to return to her maiden name of “Nadeau.”

A rep for Luann side-swiped the Count’s disgruntlement, “Her entire family has been totally supportive,” the rep told Page Six.

On December 29, the RHONY star announced that she’s going to rehab following her drunken arrest in Florida. She released the following statement on Instagram.
