A string of celebrity burglaries in the Los Angeles area have targeted Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky!
Thieves crept into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s Encino home on December 27 at 1:15 a.m. and made off with a stash worth over $1 million — including $150,000 worth of watches owned by Mauricio.
Burglar(s) gained entry to the home by breaking a window — luckily, the family was vacationing in Aspen while the crime occurred.
And while the prowlers made off with more than a million dollars in jewelry, Kyle’s jewelry was in a lock box, so it’s unclear if they got into that.
The housekeeper discovered the break-in.
The couple’s newly purchased $8.2 million home was under major renovations, with a heavy flow of traffic throughout the house. A family source suspects an inside job because a number of people had access during the construction, reports TMZ. Also, the culprits knew exactly where to locate the valuables.
The security alarm was not active but the home is monitored by surveillance cameras, so cops are hopeful it will help them nab the bandits.
