#RHOA RECAP: Sheree Whitfield Declares Her Love For Her Prison Boyfriend and Calls Him Her ‘Soul Mate’

Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta kicks off with Sheree shopping for some very expensive doors for her finished basement — which has a movie theatre, spa and a sauna. Porsha arrives, the two chat about their shady dinner in California and Kenya shading her supposed bestie Cynthia by keeping her in the dark about her wedding. They both agree Kenya’s actions are dubious.

Then Porsha brings up a recent rumor that Sheree is married to a jailbird. She comes right out and ask her if she secretly tied the knot. Sheree denies the report and promises not to pull a “Kenya.” Sheree even says that when Tyrone gets sprung from the pokey, she would consider marrying him. 

Over at Lake Bailey, Kandi and Kenya stop by for cocktails and to catch up. Kenya updates the ladies on her grandmother’s funeral and informs them that her mystery husband attended. The convo shifts to the drama in San Francisco after Kenya departed. Cynthia finally lets Kenya know that she REALLY wants to meet her husband. Kenya claims that Marc is not in Atlanta much because of her restraining order against her ex Matt Jordan. The conversation turns to Sheree’s hot and heavy prison romance. Jailhouse photos of Sheree and her bae have surfaced online and Sheree is wearing a t-shirt with the word, “wifey” scrolled across her chest. She wanted to make sure the blind could see it.

The next day, it dons on Porsha — Cynthia found a man and she just divorced, Kenya found an invisible man, and Sheree has a prison bae. So she enlists the help of a matchmaker team to find her a man. She wants to focus on someone that’s supportive, successful and wants a family. She’s open to dating all races — she’s even down with the swirl. Porsha then scares the women by showing them her wig room. 

Cynthia reunites with her ex, Peter Thomas, at an Atlanta construction site. The former couple may be divorced but they’re still in business together, with plans to launch a new restaurant. When will Cynthia learn? She’s invested 25% of her money in another one of Uncle Ben’s Peter’s schemes that he’s cooked up. The two are clearly not over each other as they engage in some heavy flirting. Cynthia wore an extra sexy dress and comments that Peter looks hot! But then dampens the mood when she informs him that she met a guy named Will that she likes.

Across town, we join Kandi at home and it’s time for her son Ace’s swim lesson. Kandi is experiencing guilt over being an absentee mom while she’s out chasing checks. But she’s grateful that her unemployed hubby picks up the slack at home. Kandi gets a break in her schedule and takes her daughter Riley to indoor skydive. And while Riley has grown in body size and age, she’s still a little snot when her mom explains she wants to spend more time with her but she has to work to pay the bills. “But then you’ll cancel at the last minute.” Riley shoots her mom down but is willing to call it water under the bridge for a Mercedes G wagon SUV, as compensation for Kandi’s absentee parenting.

Sheree’s youngest daughter is leaving for Howard University in D.C. but before she heads off to college, Sheree finally has the dreaded domestic abuse discussion with all her kids. The kids admit that they’ve read the rumors online and they’re shocked. Her youngest daughter says that her father, Bob, tried to talk to her about it but she drove off because his timing was inappropriate. Her son said he was surprised because she had never talked about it. Sheree tells her daughters to never tolerate abuse. Her kids handle the sensitive topic well and they share a sincere group hug.

Cynthia and her new beau, Will, go on a double date with Kandi and Todd. Will is clearly trying to impress Cynthia or the viewers. He’s pulled out all the stops — a private yacht on lake Lanier with a chef. Cynthia gushes and makes googly eyes at her date but Kandi is not feeling Mr. Will and for good reason. Kandi bust up their lovefest and drops a bomb — Will has appeared on the Steve Harvey Show for a “dating” segment and possibly filmed a pilot for another dating show. Cynthia apparently was in the dark and quickly looks at Will with stunned eyes. After Kandi conducts her interrogation, the women separate from the guys for a little girl chat. Kandi warns Cynthia to be careful and keep her wits about her. Kandi questions Cynthia about her sex life. She wants all the dirty deets on who’s been wetting her whistle since her divorce. Cynthia informs her that she hasn’t sealed the deal with Will yet and doesn’t want to get too serious before testing the waters. She only wants big ships swimming in her ocean, little boats need not apply. 

Later that evening, Porsha goes on her first blind date and immediately realizes the matchmakers screwed up royally! When she sees Mr. Professor, Porsha searches for the nearest exit. He makes her do a sake bomb, and Porsha comes up with a lie to end the date early.

Sheree meets with her life coach and updates him on her domestic abuse discussion with her kids. In the middle of their session, Sheree’s prison soulmate calls collect from from the slammer. She steps out on the patio and Tyrone begins with praising God for giving him a second chance with Sheree. He explains that their relationship ended abruptly years ago because the feds were hot on his trail, but he regrets having to cut her off when he went to prison for fraud.

After their call wraps, Sheree tells her life coach all about her prison bae. She’s in love and she can’t wait for Tyrone to be released. She declares him her ‘soulmate’ and she’s taking a chance on love. Sheree’s life coach looks bewildered and asks the middle-aged mom of three, “Is this a fantasy?” The life coach seems doubtful of the scenario and questions what will happen when he comes home. But Sheree seems confident that Tyrone will be released fairly soon and they will live happily ever after. Bless her heart!
