#RHOD Star LeeAnne Locken Quits After Brutal Season 2 Reunion Attack!
Bye Y’all! LeeAnne Locken announced on Tuesday, Nov 7, that she’s leaving Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Dallas after two seasons.
The reality diva, 50, revealed the news on Twitter when responding to a fan question about the Bravo show returning for a third season. “I won’t be there!” Locken responded.
Locken came into Season two of the Bravo reality series a transposed woman, after extensive therapy to heal wounds from her carny past that she contributes to relationship issues with her co-stars.
Sadly, Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Hollman and Cary Deuber were not receptive to the new LeeAnne and tension escalated throughout the season — culminating into an explosive reunion. Locken’s infamous “they’re just hands but they work quite well” — gave Stephanie, Cary, and Brandi ammunition to claim they feel threatened by their RHOD co-star’s behavior.
To her credit, Locken took accountability for her behavior and apologized to the women — noting her traumatic childhood and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as triggers for her reactionary responses.
“I let the hurt child in me make choices when I go into defense mode because that’s a habit. And now that I’m an adult, I need to find new ways to respond and act,” she said.
“I’ve never laid hands – I’ve never even made a physical response that I’m going to harm you,’ Locken continued. “I use my words poorly and I’ve got to learn to behave and react differently when I’m pissed and out of control. When I get upset, I use my words to tornado myself out of the corner. They’re just words.”
The reunion drama and allegations, appears to have taken a toll on Locken and she’s bowing out graciously.
