Teresa Giudice now has a legit excuse not to visit her incarcerated hubby!

According to court documents, Joe Giudice is scheduled to be transferred to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania and out of Fort Dix Federal Prison in New Jersey.

The documents indicate that Joe is being relocated to . The timeline for the transfer is unclear.

As reported, Joe was being barred from an alcohol abuse treatment program  because of his non-US citizen status. Completion of the program would have reduced a his 41-month sentence by a year.

However, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has an active detainer on Giudice that prohibits his participation in the program. The detainer allows the organization to place Joe into custody when his prison term ends, which is when he’ll face deportation to his native Italy.

After doing some digging, AllAboutTheTea.com learned that the Federal Bureau of Prisons routinely deports non-citizen inmates, even when they are not a threat to society.

FCI Allenwood is classified as a “hearing prison, ” and the move would allow him to have a “timely hearing of his immigration status,” according to the documents.

Giudice was convicted of bankruptcy fraud and submitting false loan applications to obtain $5 million in mortgages and construction loans. In addition to tax evasion.
