Tamar Braxton Files For Divorce From Vincent Herbert After Nearly 9 Years Of Marriage
It’s over!
Tamar Braxton has filed for divorce from husband, Vincent Herbert, on Tuesday in LA County.
The divorce announcement follows news that the couple put their Calabasas home up for sale for $15 million recently, as well as reports that Herbert owes record label Sony more than $3 million. They sued him over advance drama from 2013. It also follows Tamar’s announcement that she was quitting music to focus on her family, particularly on her marriage.
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” Tamar told Entertainment Tonight that she and Herbert had a lot going on behind closed doors. “There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.”
“My husband and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know?” Braxton continued. “Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy, and you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”
The writing was on the wall with recent rumors of marital problems. Braxton shared this inspirational message about being pulled back to be able to move forward from Sarah Jakes Roberts, which included mention of being removed from relationships that don’t have God’s “fragrance” on them:

At nearly nine years of marriage, the couple faced quite a bit of issues but always seemed to stand united. When asked about marital trouble, Braxton said it brought them together:
“It did nothing but bring our relationship closer,” she told Wendy Williams in March. “Because you know, I’m not gonna sit here and act like we don’t argue and we don’t fight. We work together, there’s a lot of things to disagree about. But I think that we’ve come to the point where we know that this is where we are suppose to be.”
