Shannon Beador’s ‘Unlicensed’ Dr. Tim Under Investigation After Helping the Obese #RHOC Star!
Shannon Beador’s brutally honest fitness guru, Tim Ramirez, has landed in hot water — busted for performing acupuncture without a license.
The trainer who “wowed” the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s ballooning waistline is being investigated, after being reported for performing the ancient practice without a California license.

Shannon posted an Instagram snap of her daughter, Stella, receiving a treatment from Ramirez in November 2016 — cheering the results.

A complaint was filed by an unidentified person, after photos of Ramirez performing acupuncture hit social media. In an email dated November 18, 2016, the California Acupuncture Board confirmed that an investigation is underway.
“The Acupuncture Board is in receipt of your complaint referencing the above individual,” the email stated, with a case number and the following information noted: “Tim Ramirez, DC. Unlicensed Practice of Acupuncture.”
“We assure you that every complaint we receive is closely examined. However, please be advised the Board only has jurisdiction to take administrative action against those individuals found to be in violation of the laws and regulations relating to the practice of acupuncture. Further, the Board does not have any authority to demand a refund for the dissatisfied services.”
“The allegations of your complaint appeared to be within the Board’s jurisdiction therefore warrant an investigation.”
The CA Acupuncture Board’s website confirms that “Dr. Tim” does not have a license to practice in the state of California. In another twist, a second person filed a complaint against Ramirez with the CA Board of Chiropractic Examiners, for unlicensed acupuncture practice, during the same time period. The person who filed the complaint reports that while the issue was acknowledged, there have been no updates since receiving a confirmation letter, dated December 6, 2016.
“This acknowledges receipt of your complaint against Tim Ramirez, D.C. with the Board of Chiropractic Examiners,” the letter stated.
The CA Acupuncture Board disclosed that investigations can last from six months to years.
Ramirez cranked up controversy when Bravo cameras chronicled Shannon’s sheepish return to the trainer, after piling on 40 pounds in the RHOC off-season. His honest reaction to Shannon’s scale crash triggered loud fan opinion all over social media.
