Paul approaches Karine’s father with a brazen request on Sunday’s new episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.
In a TLC preview clip, Paul carefully asks if Karine can escape to a hotel with him — much to her father’s horror.
“Can Karine stay in a hotel with me?” Paul asks, via app translation.

Paul grins awkwardly while Karine’s father processes the blunt question, and her mother nervously sits silently.
“Here in Brazil, a motel is only for sexual encounters,” Karine’s father argues.
Paul fakes amused shock at the notion of a get acquainted quickie, and promises Karine’s father that sex is off the table — at least for now.
“In the past, sex has definitely caused drama and problems for me,” Paul says in a confessional spot. “But, I haven’t told Karine about any of that yet.”
Karine’s father relents, and the plan is set — but what is the sex-triggered secret that Paul has yet to reveal?
