’90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ Star Paul Staehle’s Shocking Criminal History Revealed!
One of the more intriguing personalities on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days is Paul Staehle — the Kentucky man who is paddling his way to true love in Brazil.
Amazon village hottie, Karine, 21, is ready to jump into Paul’s mosquito-netted arms — but does she know that her American beau has a fiery past?
Paul Staehle mug shot
Paul, 34, was found guilty of felony arson in 2014 — and has a few mugshots under his belt. Starcasm dug up the dirt on Paul, and discovered that the TLC-er committed 2nd degree arson linked to insurance fraud, in 2007. He was convicted 7 years later, according to the Kentucky corrections website.
The site indicates that Paul is serving “shock probation” — likely indicating that he served only a brief jail stint. In 2013, Paul was arrested and charged with Violation of a Kentucky EPO (Emergency Protective Order) / DVO (Domestic Violence Order).
Paul gave a nod to a shady past in the premiere episode,
“One of the relationships I was in ended so badly, it ended up getting me in some serious trouble,” Paul revealed. “I haven’t explained it all to Karine yet.”
In another twist, Paul created a GoFundMe campaign in March 2016, to raise the cash to help Karine’s family, and to fund their wedding ceremony. Karine obviously makes it to fiancée status — so apparently Paul’s weighty voyage pays off.
“Raising money to help my fiance help her family in her village and have a wedding ceremony. Village is located in the Amazonas region of Brazil. It is her dream to help her family and village as much as she can. She also prays we can get married in the village before her grand father passes,” Paul wrote.
Paul initially portrayed himself as a high-strung mama’s boy — but it looks like TLC has only skimmed the surface of a guy who’s willing to risk it all for love. Will he spill the real tea to his Brazilian bride-to-be?
