Shannon Beador’s massive weight gain has been her storyline on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Shannon claims that her 40 pound weight gain has affected her self-esteem, attitude and marriage with husband, David Beador

“I’m not even gonna tell David because I’m afraid if I tell him, he’s just gonna be done.” She said in a recent episode after it was revealed she was 40% body fat.

In a recent interview with Bravo’s Daily Dish — Shannon elaborates on her David comment after immense fan reaction.

“When I said in the show, ‘I don’t want to tell David,’ clearly he saw the weight that I’d gained. I didn’t want to tell him the 40 percent body fat. But I knew that by the time the show aired, you know, if he came to me and said, ‘Are you 40 percent body fat?’ I could say, ‘No, I’m 29.’ So that’s what I didn’t want to tell David,” she explained, adding that David isn’t keeping up with the show as much this season. “But I haven’t felt good about myself, so that is gonna take an effect on the relationship, it is.”

Miraculously since the show wrapped filming season 10 — Shannon has shed 15 pounds and claims her marriage is back on track.

Shannon after losing 15 pounds

Shannon shared her marriage comeback after surviving her unattractive extra pounds.

“Things are, things are good. You know, we’re good,” Shannon shared. “Every marriage has the high high and sometimes you go low. And let’s be honest, I ended last season on the highest high I think I’ve ever had in our marriage because we renewed our vows and everything was so amazing. So you go through dips and valleys.”

Many fans on social media call foul on Shannon’s “weight gain” struggle tied to a distant husband while blaming Vicki Gunvalson  as a legit storyline.

Last season, Vicki alleged that David Beador had physically abused his wife — a claim Shannon vehemently denies although David was convicted for abusing her. “That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more,” Shannon said during the first episode. “That’s a huge part of why I gained my weight.”
