Lydia McLaughlin is revealing details about what went down with Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Vicki Gunvalson, when a cast trip to Iceland took a scary turn.
The reality veteran had to be hospitalized during the trip, and Lydia is spilling the tea — giving us a behind-the-scenes peek into the duo’s jaunt to the emergency room.
Lydia explained that although Vicki, 55, did not want to go to the hospital — the decision had already been made.
“Vicki goes to the hospital and she doesn’t want to go, but 911 was called and they don’t mess around with that,” the returning RHOC player told Radar Online.
“And it is crazy,” Lydia continued. “People are crying. We don’t know what happened. Is she going to get admitted? We spend the whole night — I end up accompanying her to the hospital.”
Lydia, 37, revealed that the experience was one that she would be happy to forget — adding that all ended well for Vicki.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever been to an Icelandic hospital, the ER in the middle of the night, but it is not something you want to do,” Lydia said. “So it wasn’t the greatest experience of my life.”
“Vicki is walking and she’s talking so we know that it’s a happy ending to the story,” Lydia added. “Vicki always kids that for her to leave the show you’ll have to kill her off!”
Vicki later joked that her cast-mates were trying to do just that — keeping her sense of humor about the high-drama incident firmly in tact.
