Mackenzie Standifer will face Dr. Drew Pinsky on the upcoming Teen Mom OG finale sit-down, addressing the drama swirling around her husband, MTV veteran, Ryan Edwards. Ryan was captured alarmingly altered and behind the wheel, rushing to a secret wedding ceremony — his bride happily riding shotgun. Ryan later submitted to a brief rehab stint, and is now claiming a complete recovery.
“A little over 30 days ago, I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility,” Ryan told MTV. “I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better. Without the support of my wife and parents I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes.”
Mackenzie, 21, has released the first post-treatment photos of her controversial hubby, on Instagram. “Fave place. Fave people,” Mackenzie captioned one tropical shot. The couple posed with Mackenzie’s son from a previous marriage, in another snap.
Ryan has clearly put on some weight — his new wife seemingly determined to paint a rosy picture of a restored family. Viewers have been bashing the couple since watching the blitzed MTV star swerve all over the road — his bedazzled bride making no move to shut down the horrifying junkie spectacle. Fans have also been skewering MTV — calling out in-the-know production onlookers.
The thirsty reality rookie pointed to an ongoing struggle in a cryptic June 30th Instagram post, writing — “God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons that we could learn in no other way.”
Is Mackenzie beginning to regret her life-threatening dash to the altar?
Mackenzie is obviously enjoying her dance in the MTV spotlight — do you think that she’ll make it to next season?
The Teen Mom OG reunion series begins Monday night at 9:00 p.m. ET, on MTV.
