The Real Housewives of Potomac wraps it’s regular season on Sunday. And Karen Huger’s quick exit from high society Potomac has been creating quite a cast buzz — after she reveals the location of her new home — Great Falls, Virginia. Several of the women think Karen and her husband Ray’s finances are the reason.

A source is spilling some hot finale tea — explaining exactly why Karen is waving goodbye to Potomac. In spite of lots of shady chatter, the reason has nothing to do with her bank account.

Karen is moving to Great Falls (VA), but not because she’s broke,” the insider tells AllAboutTheTea.com. “She had to move in order to be close to her ailing parents.”

The source reveals that Karen’s mother is in the early stages of dementia.

Karen’s aging father is struggling to care for her mother,” the source says. “The burden has been on Karen’s sister, but now that Karen is an empty-nester, she’s able to move and help out. She needed a one-story home to accommodate her mother, who can’t go up and down the stairs.”

Several within the cast have been taking jabs at Karen’s decision to relocate, gossiping that financial hardship is at the root of the move.

Throwing shade might be part of the reality TV game — but according to the source, the intrusive snark is simply not grounded in truth.

Karen’s mother has to stay in Virginia for health insurance reasons,” the insider reveals to AllAboutTheTea.com. “The move is all about Karen being there for her parents, and making them comfortable.”

Fans have seen Karen break down in tears in a RHOP finale snippet — but don’t know that the plight of her parents is the real-life reason for her emotional meltdown.

Will the ladies regret their gossipy speculation?

The Real Housewives of Potomac finale airs Sunday night, at 8:00 p.m. ET, on Bravo.
