Bad Jenelle, Bad Jenelle, What Ya Gonna Do?

Jenelle Evans’ turbulent relationship with her mother over 7-year-old Jace just got worse!

The Teen Mom 2 star and her mother, Barbara Evans, got into another confrontation on May 12. According to a police report from the upsetting incident, Jenelle called the police to Barbara‘s house — claiming Jace Evans was being held hostage.

“We received a call that there was concern about the welfare of the children in the home.,” Boiling Springs Lake Chief Brad Shirley told Radar. He added that it was “an arranged time for visitation with Jenelle’s son. For whatever reason the grandmother did not want to honor that visitation schedule.”

Apparently, Barbara had major concerns releasing her beloved grandson into the care of his troubled mom. Jace is the son of Jenelle and Andrew Lewis. Andrew isn’t in his son’s life and Jenelle has been in trouble with the law numerous times. Jace‘s maternal grandmother, Barbara, currently has full custody of the child.

“I did not want to let Jace see her,” the grandmother told Radar. “Jace did not want to go with her. I told Jace and another grandchild to just hide in the house.”

As a result, Jenelle suffered a full meltdown, and escalated the situation by causing a scary scene on Barbara‘s North Carolina property. After losing self-control, Jenelle called the police and reported, “My mother has a mental illness.”

“She came over and banged on my garage and windows for a full hour. She was going ballistic. I thought ‘Jesus Christ, she’s going to break my windows.’” Adding, “The kids were hiding in the bedroom petrified.”

Unfortunately, the law did not intervene on Jenelle‘s behalf. They determined the reality mom was trespassing and could face charges.

“Get off your mother’s property or you will be arrested,” Barbara claims the MTV star was instructed by the police.

“As the property owner, she [Barbara] has a right to dictate who can be on that property. Both parties were given advice and were told what could happen if the situation escalated. This could be considered trespassing and it doesn’t matter what the relationship is. If you don’t have the rights to a residence, you could be trespassing.”

In the end, authorities determined the incident was a custody matter, out of their jurisdiction, that needed to be handled by the courts.

“We made contact with Grandma immediately and determined this was a civil matter and that the concerns needed to be taken to the judge.” According to the police official. “This was nothing law enforcement needs to get involved with, it was a custody dispute.”
