#TeenMom2 Jenelle Evans Loses Bitter Custody Fight With Mom Barbara Evans!

Teen Mom 2 star, Jenelle Evans, and her mom Barbara Evans, finally faced off in a courtroom on Wednesday.

Their bitter custody fight has dragged on for years — with the two battling in and out of the Myrtle Beach court system — for the fate of Jenelle‘s eldest son, Jace.

On May 24, a North Carolina judge decided that the 7-year-old will remain in the full-time custody of Barbara — his maternal grandmother, whose raised him since infancy. Due to her reckless earlier years, riddled with drugs and arrests, Jenelle signed over temporary custody to her mom when Jace was a baby.

The mother and daughter sat down with their legal teams for a few hours and hammered out a mutual agreement at mediation, the case never made it to trial.

Of course, Jenelle was targeting full-time custody, where the boy would live with her, his siblings, and future step-dad David Eason. But in spite of losing her case, Barbara agreed to give her longer visitation periods with the child and a formal schedule is in the works. The formal plan will also stipulate that Barbara can’t deny her estranged daughter access to Jace for extended durations of time.

MTV cameras rolled, so expect to see it all play out on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.
