The first grandchild of Sister Wives patriarch, Kody Brown, has arrived.
Maddie Brown Brush delivered a healthy baby boy on Saturday, May 20th, her exact due date. Axel James Brush weighed in at 8 lbs. 8 oz. and measured 21 inches long.
Take a deep cleansing breath — because Maddie labored for 72 hours, which included 12 hours of hard labor and 4 hours of pushing before their little guy made his world debut. The couple spoke to People — and no shout-out was offered to any medical pro or locale aiding in the birth.
“We’re feeling both excited and exhausted at the same time,” the couple said. “We’re looking forward to having a family. Now that he’s here we excited to grow our family a little bit more and spread our love even more.”
Maddie’s parents, Kody and Janelle Brown, are excited to be first time grandparents.
“I think being grandparents hasn’t sunk in yet,” Kody and Janelle commented. “It’s so fun. I can’t believe how much we love this baby already.”
Baby Axel has likely been mobbed by the Brown crowd by now, and was surely greeted with dozens of sloppy kisses — welcoming the new little fella into the plural fold.
“The whole family is excited,” Janelle gushed.“In fact the biggest trick will be giving Maddie her rest because there’s going to be this long line of parents and siblings that will be continuously wanting to hold the baby,”
Welcome Axel James…and good luck!
