Dance Moms star, Abby Lee Miller, has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for fraud. The rest of her sentence — 2 years — will be under supervised release.
The demanding dance teacher didn’t report an international bank transfer and hid assets from the bankruptcy court. But Abby’s freedom isn’t the only thing she’ll be losing.
The Abby Lee Miller Dance Studio LA space is available to rent. So, if you want a place on Santa Monica Boulevard, this might be for you.
Real estate agent, Erica Taylor told Radar Online, “The space is available for rent. It went up for rent a couple of days ago.”
The studio boasts 8,692 square feet of space. At $3.50 per square foot, that’s a steal, right? Whoops. Did I say steal? Probably not the right word, considering Abby’s now a jailbird. How about bargain instead?
Rumors swirl that Abby’s letting go of the studio because of legal woes. Not only was she fined $40,000, but she had to pay out a judgement of 120k.
Fortunately, the judge has been lenient. Abby requested permission from the court to take on a few extra jobs. The documents state:
“Ms. Miller is in the entertainment business, and a significant amount of her income is derived from personal appearances. Following the conclusion of Ms. Miller’s sentencing hearing on May 9, 2017, three television shows requested that Ms. Miller appear on the shows for compensation.”
The judge granted Abby’s request. Just two days ago, she co-hosted The Talk.
So, do you think Abby got off easy or should she have had to spend more time behind bars?
