Controversial Real Housewives Of Melbourne star Pettifleur Berenger has quit The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
The 52-year-old voluntarily walked away from the hit reality series and producers are plotting a major cast shakeup to fill the huge void she’ll leave behind.
Pettifleur resigned on Friday after rumors surfaced her role on the show was reduced and she was not on show producers radar moving forward.
“I think it is important to leave something on a high,” she tells the Herald Sun. “I have loved the opportunity Housewives has given me and enjoyed every moment of it. But I don’t think it is for me anymore.“I am looking forward to the next project and looking forward to spending more time on my property developments and with my family.”
Pettifleur revealed that she left the scandalous franchise to focus on other projects, which include a new reality show and some lucrative property developments.
She said while the show had taught her a lot it was also not easy navigating the reality landmine.
“It is quite tough, it is not for the faint hearted. You have to be really strong, really thick skinned and really tough and be able to take the whole vibe of the show,” she said. “I think I did that really well and now I feel it is time to move.”
Berenger recently filmed Hell’s Kitchen Australia where teams of celebrities are whipped into shape by star chef Marco Pierre White.
Pettifleur‘s was an outlandish figure on The Real Housewives of Melbourne that brought the drama — her absence is sure to be felt!
We wish her well in her future endeavors.
