Jacqueline Laurita has being a reality fixture for seven seasons — and is now opening up about her reported departure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Jacqueline, 46, spoke to Entertainment Tonight, and explained why she chose to step away from the long running series.

“Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I think the feeling [from the network] is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members,” Jacqueline said.

Fans know that Jacqueline is likely referring to former co-stars, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Viewers watched tensions explode between Jacqueline and the sisterly duo during Season 7, although Jacqueline maintained solid friendships with rookie cast members, Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania.

“I think they feel I no longer fit in with the group,” Jacqueline revealed. She added that she was offered a part-time position on the show, and that a potential full time shift would depend “on how my story unfolded and if I meshed with the group.” Jaqueline explained why such a scenario wouldn’t fly.

“I just felt that after being on the show for seven years and putting my time and everything into that, to not have a confirmed full-time decision, with that feeling that I had to kind of try out again, it just didn’t feel right,” she said.

Jacqueline was one of the original cast members to launch the series, and was briefly demoted to part-time in Season 6, before returning to a full-time slot in Season 7.

She did confirm that reality villain, Danielle Staub, will be in mix in the upcoming season.  “I know she is filming,” Jacqueline revealed. “But I don’t know if it has been decided if she is a Housewife yet.”
