The Real Housewives Of New York won’t be stepping onto the Dancing with the Stars stage anytime soon!
There’s something to be said when a show dedicated to casting the most fame-whoriest of stars, DWTS, actually turns someone down. But that’s what reportedly happing to the New York cast according to Radar Online.
“[DWTS] isn’t anti Housewives — it’s just anti-New York City Housewives!” an insider exclusively revealed to Radar Online. “They’ve had Jersey, Beverly Hills and Atlanta ladies on, but no one from New York City.”
“[RHONY star] Bethenny [Frankel] was pushing hard to get on the show again this season and even contacted her ‘friend’ host Tom B.,” the source added. “She has visited the show as a guest and sat from row in the audience, but they just don’t want her on as a contestant. Countess Luann [de Lesseps] and Ramona [Singer] have also both tried to get cast, but producers rejected both of them too.”
Supposedly RHONY ratings are on the decline, and insiders revealed that viewers aren’t as interested in the NY ladies like the other franchises, per Radar Online. As reported, Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Erika Girardi will be competing on the upcoming season of DWTS.
Housewives stars Kim Zolciak, Nene Leakes and Lisa Vanderpump have previously appeared on the ABC dancing show.
The RHONY ladies will have to save their shuckin’ and jivin’ for the Bravo cameras than the DWTS dance floor! Tell us what you think, who would you want see from RHONY cast on DWTS?
