Fans Accuse Mama June Shannon of Wearing Fat Suit and Prosthetics to Exaggerate Weight Loss On #MamaJuneFromNotToHot

Did y’all see Mama June’s transformation? Well don’t worry, nobody did. The new docu-series Mama June From Not to Hot premiered on WEtv last week and viewers didn’t take long to share their disappointment that they would have to wait seven more weeks to see the complete transformation. 

Honey Boo-Boo’s mom reportedly went from a size 16 to a size 4 during this process, but her stunning new look wasn’t shown. Even worse, many fans believe Mama June was wearing a fat suit and prosthetics during the taped confessionals and some scenes on the episode. The backlash erupted within minutes on Twitter with comments about Mama June’s strange appearance.

The reason behind Mama June’s extreme weight loss was to have a “revenge body” to attend her ex, Sugar Daddy’s, upcoming wedding. Besides the health and fitness aspect of her transformation, Mama June also had the following surgeries performed according to daughter’s Honey Boo-Boo and Pumpkin: gastric sleeve, breast lift, tummy tuck, skin removal from her arms, and a chin lift.

Mama June has had pretty good longevity on reality television. She got her start with Toddlers and Tiaras and then the spin-off, Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo. Unfortunately her career came to an abrupt end when it was discovered Mama June was dating a convicted sex offender from her past. But it didn’t take long for Marriage Boot Camp to come knocking and all was forgiven. Mama June is back once again and apparently better than ever, though nobody can say for certain if the weight loss numbers are true because she’s staying out of public eye.

Mama June tweeted that at one time she topped the scales at 460, but speculation is growing that Wetv either wanted a bigger wow factor for the reveal or didn’t get enough interviews during her peak weight to create eight episodes and needed to recreate the scenes with the fat suit.
