‘RHONY’ Jason Hoppy Arrested After Allegedly Stalking Bethenny Frankel For Years — Bethenny Granted Restraining Order!

We all knew the divorce between Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel and her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, was contentious, but we had no idea how bad things had gotten.

On Friday, January 27, Jason was arrested for stalking and harassing his ex.

Hoppy has been sending many emails and tried to Facetime Bethenny hundreds of times in the past two months. Bethenny’s boyfriend, Dennis Shields, had his lawyer send a cease and desist letter last year. The letter claimed that Jason sent Bethenny 49 emails in 70 days. In those emails, he attacked her looks, age, and fame. In one email, Jason mocked Bethenny’s relationship to Shields, saying she had a “revolving door of men” and that Shields would “be gone soon.”

Despite the lawyer’s letter, Jason’s harassment persisted. According to a police spokesman, Jason showed up at daughter, Bryn’s, school. Bethenny and a friend were there, dropping off Bryn, when Jason tried to instigate an argument.

“On Friday, January 27, the suspect approached [Frankel] and a friend at her child’s school at around 8:15am and tried to provoke a fight. He said, “I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned.”

Jason denied the allegations through his lawyer, Robert C. Gottlieb.

“There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife’s unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and intends to vigorously fight these false charges.”

He also tweeted that Bethenny defied stipulations outlined in the custody order.

Jason was released shortly after being charged.

Bethenny was photographed later that day, smiling as she picked up Bryn from school. Then she headed for her house in the Hamptons.

Over the weekend, she went skiing in Vermont.

Frankel has been granted an order of protection against ex-husband Hoppy, according to a spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. TMZ reports that the order forbids Hoppy from contacting Frankel and orders him to stay away from the reality star’s home, business and their daughter’s school for six months.

I guess just living off the settlement from his ex-wife leaves Jason with a lot of time on his hands. Maybe he should think about getting a job. Thoughts?
