Remember Vicki Gunvalson’s defunct vodka? Unfortunately for Vicki, the legal battles continue.

Her former business partner, Robert Williamson, a professional poker player, declared Chapter 13 bankruptcy a year ago. In legal jargon, the court granted him “removal of the automatic stay of bankruptcy,” but “civil actions may proceed.”

What that means is Williamson doesn’t have to pay back his debts. But Vicki, ever the shrewd businesswoman, is the one exception. She filed for the stay to be released, which means her civil lawsuit alone can move forward.

In 2015, Williamson took Vicki and her then boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, to court. He claimed Vicki failed to promote the product and that Ayers was in breach of contract, along with a few other accusations like fraud thrown in for good measure.

The judge dismissed the case against Brooks and Williamson was forced to cough up $132,641. But Ayers transferred that judgment to Vicki. And now she wants her cash from Williamson, and is willing to go back to court to get it.

So, is Vicki doing the right thing? Would you let it go or would you force Williamson to pay up?
