Vicki Gunvalson is ready to take on a bright new year, but The Real Housewives of Orange County veteran took a moment to look back, sharing her thoughts on Instagram.
Vicki posted a photo of her lovely Christmas table, along with a reflective caption.
“Just finished with cleaning up the dishes from Christmas dinner and from opening presents. As I reflect on where I was last year to this year, it makes me realize more and more how our future is not in our hands or in our control,” Vicki writes. “I am so grateful and thankful for putting my trust in God’s plan for my life. It was a beautiful for Christmas for me and my families and I hope yours was too…Peace be with all of you as we close another chapter of our lives and head into 2017.”
The OG of the OC had her share of ups and downs during 2016. On the professional/personal front, Vicki worked to mend broken relationships with her reality co-stars, Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge. Vicki has been a rock for her daughter, Briana Culberson, through the young mother’s cryptic struggles with her health. Briana was eventually diagnosed with lupus. Vicki also basked in lots of kiddie love, spending time with her two youngest fans, grandsons, Troy and Owen.
One of the biggest shifts in Vicki’s 2016 was the new man in her life, Steve Lodge. Vicki’s boyfriend came through big this Christmas, gifting his sweetheart with a snazzy piece of Louis Vuitton luggage. Steve also made the family Christmas card.

The tree turned out beautiful! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season as you celebrate Christmas. It's been a tough year again for a lot of people and my wish is that you take time to cherish each moment with the ones you love. May your home be filled with laughter, love and the spirit of Christmas. Thank you Rebecca for knowing just how I love my home to look. @naturalcharms
