The world was stunned on Christmas day to learn of the passing of 80’s and 90’s pop icon, George Michael.

The singer reportedly died of heart failure at his home at the age of 53. The stars of Vanderpump Rules have taken to social media to pay tribute and have an interesting connection to the late “Faith,” singer.

It has been said that George Michael was the very first celebrity to dine and Lisa Vanderpump’s posh restaurant SUR. Lisa expressed her sadness on Twitter in a heartfelt note.

On and off again employee, James Kennedy, was the late singer’s godson. James’ father, music producer, Andros Georgio, was a close, childhood friend of the singer and even managed the duo Wham! James took to Twitter to express his sadness and share a childhood photo of himself with the late pop icon.

Lisa Vanderpump also tweeted her sadness by saying George Michael will be “greatly missed” and had the “unbelievable talent that will serenade the angels.”

Jax Taylor posted on Instagram how cool it was when George Michael came into SUR and also tweeted his respects for the late singer.
