Farrah Abraham & Simon Saran Defend Calling Amber Portwood’s Boyfriend Matt Baier A ‘Pedophile’
MTV is giving viewers a brief glimpse into the Teen Mom OG reunion scene that triggered the onstage smackdown between co-stars, Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham.
The explosive second part of the reunion airs Monday night.
Farrah’s part-time beau, Simon Saran, admits to jabbing at Amber, 26, and her boyfriend, Matt Baier, 46, on Snapchat, in the sneak peek preview.
“These people make themselves vulnerable — they give you ammo to just talk about them,” Saran explains to host Dr. Drew Pinsky. Simon adds that he means “no disrespect” and that it “was all in fun.”
Farrah grabs the moment to bash her other TMOG co-stars, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout—while defending Simon.
“He’s not being an Amber or being a Maci or being a Catelynn and saying you’re going to beat somebody’s ass, you’re going to create fights,” the controversial budding entrepreneur says. “Simon’s not even doing that.”
Dr. Drew brings up that Simon had labeled Baier a pedophile—and things evidently take a crazy turn. Simon tries to laugh off the insult, but Farrah doesn’t back down, snarking, “Well, I’m sorry that Matt probably looks like it.”
That comment proves to be the trigger that pushes an infuriated Amber to storm the stage to confront Farrah. Amber spent much of her earlier time slot on the reunion stage slamming Farrah. Her rant had some viewers cheering—but Amber’s combative attitude had others cringing.
“We used to be [friends] and then she decided to open up her crooked lips. She decided to do an interview saying something about how it’s good that [my daughter] Leah is with Gary [Shirley] and how my house probably smells like piss. You don’t do that,” Portwood spouted. “She’s been mean to Catelynn, Maci, my fiancé, Taylor [McKinney], everybody on this show and her piece-of-s–t boy toy Simon.”
Catch the fireworks, Monday night at 9:00 p.m. ET, on MTV.
