We’ve barely dipped our toe into this season of Vanderpump Rules, and from the first episode the servers at SUR have brought the drama.

Most of it centers on Katie Maloney’s marriage to Tom Schwartz (Run, Tom! Run!) and everyone’s reaction to the big event.

As the wedding plans progress, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are sticking by Katie’s side and ganging up against Lala Kent. True, Lala has a mouth on her, and her snarky comments on Katie’s weight didn’t buy her any favors with this crew. Also, there are rumors swirling around Lala. Where did she get her new Range Rover and how does she pay her rent? According to Katie, Lala has a married sugar daddy who’s paying her bills, but Lala denies it. Needless to say, none of this has made Lala popular with her female castmates.

When Scheana Shay had the audacity to actually speak to Lala at work, Katie let Scheana know that she needed to choose a side. Scheana quickly fell back in line with the mean girls, telling Lala that she couldn’t talk to her, not if she wanted to be a loyal friend.

Lala commented on social media how shocked she was to see the other women browbeat Scheana into being shunning her. She tweeted:

“I’m appalled by the way these little mean girls R treating Scheana on #PumpRules Bullying her into bullying me? It’s disgusting.”

Fans agreed Scheana should have stood up for herself against the witchy women. One tweeted: “If my friends lectured me on talking to someone simply because they don’t like them, they would no longer be my friends.” Another agreed, “I’m very shocked by the way the girls have been acting this season, no longer a fan of Katie she’s turned into a huge bully.”

And when Kristen popped up on Watch What Happens Live, the poll question favored heavily in Scheana’s favor versus the mean girls.

Now that Scheana is firmly on Team Katie, she tweeted:

“Trying to respect a [friend’s] wishes isn’t following. Anyone who fat shames anyone isn’t a friend to me. No one dictates anything in my life other than me. I have amazing friends. You don’t see everything. Remember that!”

But even Katie’s fiancé, Tom, has commented on how Katie has changed now that she’s friends with Stassi once again. He even went to see his therapist on the latest episode, discussing how vicious Katie can get once she starts drinking. He calls it her “dark side” and it’s made him question whether getting married is a good idea. When he tried to discuss his feelings with Katie, she shut him down.

So where does Lala stand in all this mess? According to her, the other women are trying to sabotage her life off camera. She told Jenny McCarthy on her podcast:

“They’re taking it like outside of the show now, like trying to take gigs from me that I’m booking free and clear on my own. I booked this gig – this appearance – and my manager called to tell me, ‘Oh my God, your cast members are crazy. One of them had their manager call and they’re trying to have the person that owns the club not hire you…’”

While Lala continues to deny that she’s in a relationship with a married man, her bestie, James, questions her about it on the next episode of VPR. Maybe we’ll finally get some answers. Or maybe the other girls are just jealous. And remember, Scheana wasn’t always so innocent. She did play around with Eddie Cibrian when he was still married to Brandi Glanville.

So, do you think Schwartz is making a mistake by marrying Katie? And is Lala getting gifts from a married man or is she simply a hardworking hostess with a little money in the bank?
