On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey’s storyline this season consists of her divorce to husband, Peter Thomas. But as we all remember, before Cynthia walked down the aisle, her mom and sister, Malorie, tried to hide the marriage certificate so that she wouldn’t make a tragic mistake.

Last week, it was revealed that Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband Apollo Nida got engaged while serving his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft. And it looks like the news has spread to Atlanta.

“I don’t know if that’s 100 percent confirmed yet, but I did hear about it,” Phaedra’s RHOA castmate reveals.

WWHL host Andy Cohen, confirmed that Apollo’s fiancé will be addressed this season.

Now that Cynthia is done with Peter, he’s reaching out to the sister-in-law who used to disapprove of him. Malorie has been talking with Peter about his marriage. On her blog this week, Cynthia discusses the strange turnaround.

“When Mal told me she was talking to Peter, at first I was surprised. Due to their history in the past, she was actually the last person I thought he would call to discuss our divorce issues with.”

Mal and Cynthia aren’t just sisters, they’re besties. That must have been strange to find out that Mal was lending an ear to Peter.

Mal and I are very close, and she is the person that I feel the most comfortable pouring out my heart to. I can be completely transparent with her. Not only is she my sister, she is my confidante. Wasn’t sure how I felt about sharing her.”

Mal has never been Peter’s biggest supporter, so it seems really strange that he’d turn to her to talk about his doomed marriage. Surprisingly, Cynthia disagrees.

“Although Mal and Peter have bumped heads quite a bit in the past, they definitely have gotten along better over the last few years.”

And Cynthia really doesn’t care if they talk. So long as Mal is forthcoming with all intel!

“I really don’t have a problem with Peter reaching out to Mal; however I do have a problem with Peter reaching out to Mal and Mal not letting me know.”

Cynthia has no regrets about the divorce. While it’s hard losing her best friend, she’s made the right decision. Vows be damned!

“I guess you can call me a hopeless romantic. In my relationships I am committed, loving, and very loyal. When I am in, I am all in. On the flip side, when I’m done, I am done.”

So, do you think Cynthia should have kept trying with Peter? And was he wrong to bring his side to her sister, Mal?
