Which ‘RHONY’ Stars Will Be Fired & Who’s On The Chopping Block
Who’s out and who’s in? Now that The Real Housewives of New York Season 8 is over, rumors are flying about upcoming cast changes.
A show insider says we should expect to see new faces for season 9.
“They are going to start casting for replacement housewives soon,” a source dished to Radar Online.
Obviously we already know that Jules Wainstein is not returning to RHONY. That’s not a shocker, and whether you believe the story that Jules quit or was fired is mute; she’s not coming back.
Dorinda Medley is said to be on the maybe list due to her fight with Bethenny Frankel over her alleged cocaine use. Show insiders say Dorinda’s status,
“is up in the air, but they are leaning towards not renewing her contract.”
Many fans would be very disappointed to see Dorinda go, even though at times we need subtitles to understand what she’s saying. The insider explained that because Dorinda,
“is friends with Jules and they’re allies and she is leaving, so that’s a problem.”
It wasn’t a problem when they fired Jill Zarin. Speaking of Jill, she recently hinted at a return to RHONY though Bravo has said nothing to confirm this. Basically, Jill is saying she’s “not opposed to a comeback.”
As for Luann de Lesseps, Bravo producers are also said to be on the fence with her and are hesitant to film her upcoming wedding to Tom D’Agostino due to his cheating scandal days after he proposed to the reality star. Perhaps they’re concerned, like many others, the couple won’t make it down the aisle.
The insider explained, “If that becomes a bigger issue it’s going to jeopardize her [LuAnn’s] role. The wedding is a big part of her storyline and not filming it for the show would make her irrelevant going forward.”
As for the rest of the RHONY cast, the insider said, “Everyone is likely safe.”
