Luann de Lesseps’ and Tom D’Agostino’s romance is still cranking, despite rumors that threatened to derail their love story.

The Real Housewives of New York star confirmed on Twitter that the wedding is still on — jumping ahead of the Bravo’s ongoing storyline. The show is set to chronicle Bethenny Frankel facing Luann, to spill info pointing to Tom stepping out on his fiancee. The engaged couple evidently weathers the scandal — because the wedding is ON. 

Tom proposed to Luann in February — during the filming period for ‘Housewives.’ Tom sealed the deal with a dazzling 8-carat canary yellow diamond. Cameras captured glimpses of the couple’s whirlwind romance — initially sparked by an introduction by Dorinda Medley. Tom spoke about the relationship at the time — and used the word “magic.”

“We were with other people, but started talking, and it was magic,” Tom said. “We have been inseparable ever since. She is like an asteroid who has impacted my life.”

The couple hit some bumps in the reality road, when it was exposed that Tom had briefly dated  Ramona Singer — and had engaged in a lengthy “friends with benefits” relationship with Sonja Morgan. Tom had to please a tough crowd — and in front of rolling cameras. Luann’s happiness is bubbly — but not exactly contagious, because some of her co-stars have  remained skeptical about details surrounding the love affair.

The heat was turned up on D’Agostino when Frankel was sent incriminating texts, which contained video that threatened to sink the fairy tale. Bethenny claimed on the show that Tom was caught making out with another woman, the week before the filmed engagement party, while Luann was preparing for the bash in Florida. Tom later admitted to “actions I deeply regret,” and although supposedly “shocked and heartbroken,” Luann made the decision to stay with the man she fondly calls her “soulmate.”

The show will wrap it’s season tackling the text drama — but according to the Countess, the rumors are old news, and the countdown is on for a New Year’s Eve ceremony. The girls might stomp and snort— but Luann’s happiness is the BEST revenge.
