Phaedra Parks Defends DJ Drama For Threatening To Blow Her Up

Phaedra Parks is supporting the man who was arrested for threatening to blow up her law office — claiming that DJ Drama — aka Terrence Cook, was racially profiled by someone in her building.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta shady-lady star spoke to TMZ, explaining that Drama is a good friend, and that she was expecting the rapper to come by to drop off his new CD. Parks claims that things turned ugly, when Drama went to the wrong floor.

Phaedra alleges that Drama demanded to see her, then was asked to leave — because he was on the wrong floor — and upon his refusal, security was called. Moments later, the cops swarmed, and evacuated the building. TMZ spoke to Drama’s mother, who claims that the guard misunderstood her son. According to his mother, Drama said, “I have a bomb CD. It’s about to blow up.” The security guard supposedly asked if the rapper had anything else about  to blow up — and Drama responded, “I got that bomb ass CD in the car,” referring to a package of CDs in his vehicle.

Phaedra believes that whoever alerted police was unfairly reacting to a guy in a white t-shirt, baggy pants, with gold teeth. Parks admits that Drama’s choice of words was poor, but cites a typical speech pattern, and a misunderstood convo, as reasons for the supposed messy mixup.

Drama is being held without bail, after being booked for making terrorist threats. Phaedra said that she communicated with him on Tuesday, and is referring him to a criminal attorney.

Phaedra has used police brutally against black males and the Black Lives Matter movement as political rhetoric in the past. Last season, she compared Glen Rice, Jr.’s violent behavior in Miami to Black Lives Matter. She wrote in her Bravo blog,

“I got emotional because all too often young black boys are in similar situations that unexpectedly and unnecessarily turn violent and result in them either being seriously hurt or killed. I was with the family of Michael Brown in Ferguson and have seen this tragedy firsthand.”

It’s unclear how Glen Rice, Jr.’s drunken, violent behavior equates with Phaedra’s assessment of the situation. If you recall, Glen literally tossed Tammy aside in an effort to get to Kenya Moore. He even tried to step over his aunt’s prone body.

Phaedra Parks has worn many hats during her years on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, so it’s no surprise she’s adding politician to the list. Phaedra gave an interview, and dangled her southern-belle hat, over the political ring.

I think politicians heal the community through their efforts in the legislation to pass laws that can help the people. Politics definitely plays its role.”[/otw_shortcode_quote]
