‘RHONJ’ Star Siggy Flicker’s Million Dollar Bankruptcy EXPOSED
Real Housewives of New Jersey rookie Siggy Flicker, fits in perfectly with some of her fiscally-challenged castmates.
In 2009, Siggy’s husband, Michael Campanella, filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. So how did the relationship expert turned reality star feel about his admission of excessive debt? Siggy says she found it “sexy.”
Court documents reveal that Campanella owed $1,299,078.70 to creditors at the time of the filing. He owed $861,000 for a Montebello, New York, property which he subsequently gave up. Credit card debt, he owed $147,218 to American Express, Chase, Bloomingdale’s, Best Buy and more.
At the time, Campenella was a self-employed broker whose average monthly expenses were $17,888, despite reporting an average monthly income of $7,000. The case was discharged in March of 2010 and Siggy and Campenella married in 2012.
“He’d been successful and had lost it all,” Siggy told the Palm Beach Post. “We started talking, and he was not afraid to admit his failures. That was sexy to me.”
Also struggling with financial troubles are Teresa and Joe Giudice and Jacqueline and Chris Laurita. So far the only brave ones talking about it are the Laurita’s.
