David Foster’s daughters aren’t shy about talking about Yolanda Hadid’s battle with Lyme disease.
Erin and Sara Foster dished on Jenny McCarthy’s radio show, SiriusXM’s Dirty Sexy Funny, on Wednesday, sharing their thoughts about the exiting Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s very public ordeal.
“We don’t comment to our friends on Yolanda’s health. That’s not for us to comment on,” Sara, 35, shared. “Only she knows her journey, but I will say is if you’re capable of continuing to be on a reality show, you’re not dying,”
Yolanda, 52, and David, 66, split after four years of marriage, with Hadid filing for divorce last January. Her battle with Lyme disease supposedly played a role in the breakup, but but that didn’t stop her from making the rather cryptic health crisis, her identity on the show.
“Again, we are not doctors. We have no idea what goes on, and we don’t wish anyone ill will of any kind,” Erin Foster, 33, said. “However, I think that from everyone’s experience, if anyone’s ever known someone who is very sick, who has cancer, who is dying, who’s in the last year of their life, the only thing that person gives a sh*t about is getting through the day and being treated normally.”
Erin stuck up for her father—and tried to articulate his struggle, as the spectacle played out to the public. Hadid colored her “journey” with Lyme disease with a stream of contradictory Instagram photos, along with her time in the Bravo spotlight.
“No one wants everyone to know how sick they are and everyone to see how much they’re struggling, and when that seems to be the focus, making everyone see how sick you are, that’s just confusing to someone who’s trying to be supportive,” she said.
Cast mate, Lisa Rinna, questioned Yolanda’s attention-grabbing illness, and was skeptical about the true nature of her battle, during much of the sixth season of the show. Rinna about-faced at the end of the season. Yolanda’s Instagram account has been dominated by luxury vacation bikini pics, in more recent days. Hadid’s split from Foster has definitely changed the face of her “journey.”
