Captain Lee Rosbach Responds To Kate Chastain’s Domestic Violence Arrest #BelowDeck
Below Deck Season 4 has already started filming and is slated to premiere late this summer on Bravo. But could Kate Chastain’s recent arrest rock the boat? As reported, Kate was arrested on Monday in Melbourne, Florida for domestic violence of battery by strangulation.
The reality star allegedly attacked her new girlfriend, Rocio “Ro” Hernandez, a professional soccer player. According to the police report, Chastain supposedly tried to kick her drunk girlfriend out of their house and when she refused, Kate bit her in the forearm, bicep and leg. Cops claim Chastain also put a knee on her head, choked her, and tried to stop her breathing. Kate was arrested and booked for a felony domestic violence charge of battery by strangulation. She appeared in court Tuesday afternoon and posted a $5,000 bond.

After the arrest news broke, Kate went on Twitter to thank her followers for their support during this, “difficult & humiliating” time. And insinuated she’s innocent and the “truth will come out.”
Thank you for your support during this difficult & humiliating time. The truth will come out & I look forward to regaining peace in my life.

So what does Captain Lee have to say about this? He’s “stunned” and took to Twitter to give a statement in regards to Chastain‘s latest arrest. “Ok peeps, I have not spoken to Kate and really am shocked by what I’m seeing. I really just found out about it a few ago and am not going rush to judge, nor will I ignore the facts when I actually find out what they are. You guys probably no more that I do, but I am stunned.”

Kate announced her romantic relationship in January 2016, claiming this was her first dip in the lady pond and she’s never before been attracted to women.

Kate opened up about her girlfriend to Bravo’s Daily Dish earlier this year.
“I think everybody’s just as surprised as I am by the photos. You know, I am currently dating a girl. She’s amazing. I never, ever imagined myself dating a girl. I never was attracted to girls. So I’m a little caught off guard, but she’s just a really special person. We met just met in our hometown at a bar one night and started chatting. I thought she was really cool, and I never thought it would ever lead to anything romantic and then just over time it did.”
Kate and Captain Lee have a great working relationship, and although the cast of season four has not been officially confirmed, it’s likely that Kate is part of the cast. Just a few weeks ago they proclaimed they missed each other. And so far, Captain Lee is proving once again why he’s the captain. He tweeted this to a fan:
Michelle Caricato @caricato28 I should be back on late summer if all goes well and thank you. @Bravotv @BelowDeck https://t.co/GS35aO0yWr

Kate has been in the yachting industry since 2007, working her way up, and though at times she seemed tightly wound, but her professionalism and dedication enabled her way up to chief stewardess. However, this wasn’t Kate’s first arrest. She has a priors for driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and probation violations.
Kate‘s latest legal drama may impact her future on Below Deck Season 4, which is currently filming. Stay tuned.
