Yolanda Hadid’s storyline overshadowed the entire cast during Season 6 — where her cryptic “journey” with Lyme disease had the others running in circles. Questions about the true nature of her illness arose, and behavioral contradictions polluted her story. Reportedly, Bravo nixed any plans to further that storyline, citing viewer disgust in the mind-numbing and sketchy plot.
Supposedly, Bravo wanted to build a storyline around Yolanda’s new reality as single mom looking for love, as she navigated the Beverly Hills reality landscape. Yolanda and David Foster announced their divorce on the premiere date of Season 6, and viewers caught glimpses of the marital discord, on the show.
Yolanda recently announced the future release of a memoir entitled, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease. Yolanda battled cast accusations that she was suffering from Munchausen syndrome — she certainly seems to be making proverbial lemonade, out of skeptical lemons.
Fans and social media followers of the story should be cheering today — because most viewers don’t trust Yolanda, and want freedom from her unnerving journey.
Do you think that Yolanda is exiting because she didn’t score some loony spinoff, or because Bravo squashed her “awareness” lyme-line? Sound off in the comments!
