Kathryn Edwards Reportedly Fired #RHOBH
Fired! Kathryn Edwards is no longer a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills days after Bravo announced the show’s seventh season will return later this year. So what went wrong?
We met Kathryn halfway through season six as an acquaintance of Lisa Rinna after Bravo had given the ax to Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville. Personally I found the selection to Kathryn Edwards to be a contrived tie-in to the FX runaway hit The People v. O.J. Simpson due to her link through her ex-husband and his alleged affair with Nicole Simpson. Kathryn had it out for Faye Resnick for mentioning her in her memoir. When the two ladies met at Kyle’s barbeque, the scene started out with much promise, only to fizzle like ineffective firecracker when Kathryn backed down to Faye.
Others have described Kathryn’s time on the show as “lack luster” and “rude.” And there was the scene when Kathryn betrayed fellow newbie, Erika Girardi’s, confidence over Lisa Vanderpump’s ability to be a “sniper.” But this only made her fit in more with other girls, so rude a relative term. But you don’t want to get on LVP’s bad side, just ask Brandi.
Kathryn had two storylines that faded into the background, but were definitely compelling. Her hearing loss and recovery and her mother’s diminishing memory. Many people can relate to these storylines so it’s a shame Kathryn won’t get the chance to explore these issues further and that Bravo deems these as “lack luster.”
Kathryn has yet to respond to her one-and-done season. Her Twitter account so far only mentions a happy birthday to Andy Cohen and her recent trip to Normandy with her husband Donnie Edwards.
So who will take her spot? The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Sydney Holland’s reps sent a “sizzle reel” to RHOBH producers. Holland (44) is the ex-girlfriend of billionaire Sumner Redmond (93) and they were reportedly set up by Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger. Erika better hold on to her husband, but something tells me when it comes to “sizzle reels” Erika has got her beat!
