Has Bethenny Frankel Turned ‘Real Housewives of New York’ Into A Skinnygirl Infomercial? #RHONY
Bethenny Frankel’s larger than life presence has flooded and overwhelmed this season of The Real Housewives of New York.
Rumors have been swirling around the energetic business mogul, with Andy Cohen being accused of granting Frankel free reign to steer and bully the franchise into submission. Viewers have been sounding off — noting that it’s becoming harder to distinguish the show from it’s sponsor. Skinnygirl products shine, pour, crunch and nibble their way into scene after scene after scene.
I think the problem is that it has become a SG infomercial. I crossed NY off my list. Only BH.

Last season viewers watched with raised eyebrows, as Bethenny hosted a brunch where her products were proudly perched in every shot. Carole Radziwill cracked that Bethenny’s home was “shrink wrapped in Skinnygirl,” as the cast made off with armloads of product. Who knew that Bravo was letting us off easily?
As Season 8 progresses, fans have seen cast gatherings, meals, conversations, and even confrontations, be served up with a side of Skinny-Something. Check out a photo collage below of pics taken this season where Skinnygirl products are predominantly displayed.
The shameless self-promotion has been a hot topic among viewers, who aren’t happy about the hyper-commercialized landscape.
I disagree it's become a Skinnygirl infomercial

Most “Housewives” look to push their products, via the Bravo machine. There have been fashion lines, skin care, nail polish, shape wear, eyeglasses, wine, and books. However, nothing has come close to the primo placement that Skinnygirl has scored on Bravo’s reality stage. Add the bottles, boxes, pouches and bags with Bethenny’s talking head domination, and it’s all Bethenny, all the time.
Fans have been blasting their protests all over social media, with no end in sight. How long do you think it will be, before viewers change the channel, to escape the Skinny and the girl?
