Kathy Wakile’s Daughter Reflects on Past Brain Tumor & Graduating College #RHONJ

Break out the bubbly, look who’s graduating!

Victoria Wakile, daughter of The Real Housewife of New Jersey star, Kathy Wakile, is ready to accomplish great things now that she has her degree in psychology from Caldwell University. And let’s face it, she can use her degree to analyze the craziness usually associated with the New Jersey bunch. Victoria actually graduated last December, but participated in the cap and gown ceremony on Sunday with her loved ones looking one.

Kathy gave her daughter these words of advice on Instagram. “Be who God meant you to be and You will set the world on fire.”

The past couple of years have been a struggle health-wise for Victoria. In April 2014, Victoria successfully underwent her second brain surgery to remove a benign tumor.

Victoria had this to say after achieving this new milestone. “Life happens. Life throws you obstacles you don’t always have control over and these obstacles can bring you to a complete halt. But sometimes, these struggles and obstacles make you an all around stronger person. For me, my health has always been my number one priority. Because without it, we are nothing. My health was my bump in the road 2 years ago.”

And sometimes life’s curveballs bring a blessing in disguise. Victoria’s next dream is to become a nurse.

“…Nursing is my dream. And I will get there. No matter how, no matter what. Earning my BA in Psychology was an amazing experience and is in fact going to help me more than I realized in my nursing career.”

Victoria also thanked her family for their support. No matter how chaotic, you can’t deny they are “thick as thieves.”

“Without my family and friends, I have no idea where I would be… Definitely not graduating, for one. There is no stopping me. Not now, not ever. Next step… NURSING SCHOOL and I am PSYCHED for my BSN!”
