Shep Rose Backpedals On Doubting The Paternity of Kathryn Dennis & Thomas Ravenel’s Son #SouthernCharm
Shep Rose, star of Southern Charm, is setting the record straight. When word first got out that Kathryn Dennis was pregnant yet again, there were some skeptics from the cast as to the father’s paternity.
Shep told People magazine, “I didn’t believe it. Nobody did. I heard it was a rumor. Honestly it was probably not the best idea, but what do I know? Her life as a young lady, [the time] you might want to have fun, is over. So I empathize with that, but it totally takes two to tango.”
So why did Shep feel this way? Because at the time, Kathryn and Thomas Ravenel weren’t dating.
“I don’t know what either of them were thinking but my first thought was: Is it his baby? That was all of our thoughts because they weren’t dating at the time. And she was dating other people.”
And though Shep did sleep with Kathryn, it was during Season 1, when everyone else did, too.
“It certainly wasn’t mine,” Shep professed. “I slept with her first season, but statute of limitations tells you it can’t be mine.”
Recently though, Shep wanted to clarify that statement and went to Twitter to explain.
“For the record, I now know it’s Thomas’ child,” he tweeted. “But in the beginning there was definitely speculation.”
Last November, Kathryn gave birth to her second child with Thomas, a son named St. Julien. The on-again-off-again couple also has a 2-year-old daughter, Kensington.
