Katie Rost, star of The Real Housewives of Potomac, should be glad her brief engagement to Andrew Martin ended.
Criminal documents have been revealed by Radar Online that show Martin was arrested and charged with “possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.” Katie narrowly dodged the blunt.
Here’s what went down:
On June 15, 2011, Montgomery County Police Drug Interdiction Unit was monitoring the Federal Express facility and removed two parcels from the belt after the K-9 known as “Diesel” detected something. After obtaining a warrant, the parcels were opened and “several bags and containers of suspected marijuana” were found. The amounts were “consistent with that of possession with intent to distribute” and not merely for personal use.
The name on the boxes did not say Andrew Martin, but his address was listed so a detective “posing as a delivery person” attempted to deliver the parcels to Martin’s home. Martin wasn’t home and an individual who claimed to be working on Martin’s home accepted delivery of the boxes. A neighbor confirmed that Martin had left the residence earlier.
A warrant was obtained to enter the house, and after conducting a search, more marijuana was found, plus marijuana paraphernalia. It was learned that Martin was working the hospitality tent at the US Open Golf Tournament at the Congressional Country Club.
Along with the drugs seized, so was $551 in cash and a 2003 Mercedes due to finding a “small amount” of marijuana inside. Because Martin he was not on the property during the search, he could not be arrested at that time. Martin was later in indicted for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute on Jan 20, 2012.
Martin was found guilty and received a slap on the wrist of three years’ probation. During the reunion, Giselle Bryant, accused Katie of being “on something” besides alcohol. Tell us what you think. Was Giselle right?
