Jennifer Snowden Is Pregnant & Her Unborn Baby Has A Serious Medical Condition #SouthernCharm
Southern Charm friend of the show, Jennifer Snowden, is excited to announce she is pregnant with her first bundle of joy.
Jennifer and her boyfriend Lee, who were great friends for nearly ten years prior to dating, are thrilled to be having a son.
“Although it was a complete surprise, we are thrilled,” Jennifer made her announcement and revealed her baby bump via Instagram. “I am ecstatic about having a boy. I absolutely LOVE little boys, always have, starting with my youngest brother Gray’s birth when I was 11.” Jennifer added, “I think I’ve kind of been a mom in my own eyes since then, so this has been a long time coming!”
However, as with many pregnancies, challenges often arise. For Jennifer and Lee they received the shocking news that their baby was diagnosed with encephalocele, a rare type of neural tube defect (NTD) that affects the brain. Jennifer has asked for prayers for her unborn son. At this time, there’s no way to know the severity of his condition, but he will require pediatric neurosurgery just days after birth.
“Although the future is to a degree uncertain for our baby, I have a pure sense of weightlessness about the stresses or fear of his future and I attribute that to faith and prayer alone,” Jennifer said. “One thing I do know is that he has one, a future, because of my decision to keep the little guy around and I couldn’t be more thrilled to meet him, no matter what mountains we will have to climb together.”
My unborn baby has been diagnosed w/ brain encepheloces. Plz, if you pray, plz pray for Baby James. I thank you from the bottom of my 💙

Jennifer’s due date is late September and the couple have already chosen the name, James.
“We’re naming him James after his grandfather and [his father’s birth name]. His will be James III, which I think Lee takes a lot of pride in and is sweet to see,” Jennifer revealed. “The baby is also due on Lee’s father’s birthday; Lee’s father is deceased, thus making it a very special due date indeed.
For now Jennifer is focusing on decorating the nursery and preparing for her bundle of joy.
“Honestly, I’m just trying to read as much as I can, eat well, sleep well, and generally be happy and healthy.”
Her friend Kathryn Dennis who has two children with Thomas Ravenel, is there for Jennifer and has given her good advice.
“Her advice has been to enjoy it, the whole thing: being pregnant and then being a mom as it’s the most rewarding relationship you’ll ever have. That part I’m especially excited about.”
We hope everything is fine with both Jennifer and her child. Please send warm wishes and thoughts her way.
