Kyle Richards’ Frenemy? The ‘RHOBH’ Star’s Fake Loyalty To Lisa Vanderpump EXPOSED!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wraps tomorrow night, and as we head to the reunion, one cast member thinks that she is sitting pretty. Kyle Richards has managed to stir up drama everywhere she goes, yet maintain a quasi-loyalty to the thrashed fan favorite, Lisa Vanderpump. Lisa was accused of being a manipulative mastermind, and Kyle was pronounced Lisa’s doormat, willing to tolerate anything, to stay in the queen’s good graces.
Kyle appeared to believe Lisa Rinna’s theory, which blamed Lisa Vanderpump for behind the scenes, calculated chatter. Kyle chose to dismiss the accusation, to prevent another crash and burn, of her most beneficial public friendship. Kyle simultaneously pulled off appeasing the others, by squeezing out pointed nods of agreement, keeping all of the fake friendship plates spinning. Kyle straddled the fence so hard, that she should have had bruises for weeks, and I think that her stand in Dubai was disloyal, and obnoxiously disingenuous. She already blew it once in Season 4, when she banded with Yolanda and Brandi to spin that Lisa was a calculated manipulator. Kyle fell fat on her face, and Lisa came out smelling like a trampled rose. Kyle wasn’t about to do that again—but how could she stay in the middle of the Vander-drama, and dodge fan hatred? Consider Kyle’s season modus operandi, and make up your own mind.
Kyle was the instigator to almost every conversation that got the party started, Lyme-style. Throughout the whole season, it was Kyle who triggered the taboo banter, over and over. Kyle was the one who prodded about relationships, and repeatedly pushed dialogue into conflict. Bravo must love this girl.
Kyle had to hide her bubbling glee, when Rinna dropped the Munch-bomb. She related to the viewers, when she admitted to gawking at Yolanda’s loony sickie-pics on her Instagram account. Later, she dramatically gasped at her own heartlessness, and shed a tear with The Gigi, when confronted with a dolled-up room of Lyme warriors. Kyle pointed and giggled, then repented, and became a born again Yolanda believer—AFTER she encouraged the others to jabber endlessly about their most draining and freaky friend.
When her pal Lisa was being pounded with the accusation of masterminding Munch-Gate, Kyle refused to abandon her, as she did in Season 4. Smart girl—but she did so without claiming that Lisa’s defense was true. She basically left the woman whom she claims to love like a sister, swaying in the wind. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast was tossed a treat, and Lisa was forced to uncomfortably accept the only offered semi-support. Kyle labeled two claims with differing key points as “semantics.” Is there a difference between being appalled by Kyle’s terrible style—and arranging to have all of her ugly clothes burned? The same idea is in play, when debating concern about unwilling involvement in the Munchausen debate, and pushing to have an onlooker dragged into the mess. It’s about intent—-and Kyle knows it.
Kyle sat down at that table, and announced that a peaceful dinner was weird, an odd discomfort undoubtedly molded by her childhood. Kyle, as always, changed that. We even saw Kyle sit in a talking head, smirking and shrugging her shoulders, while commenting,
“Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda absolutely have an issue with each other. Is that why maybe Lisa wanted the word Munchausen to get out—but for someone else to say it?”
If that is sisterly love—who needs it? Kyle privately scolded Lisa within earshot of the others, and slapped her hand when she wouldn’t placate her lame, suggested compromises. It’s called integrity, Kyle—and not tweaking the truth, to make others happy. In the end, Kyle is willing to accept Lisa’s alleged controlling abuse—perhaps because such abuse never occurred. The others shake their heads at Kyle’s pathetic foolishness, but Kyle absolutely knows the score, and is confident that she sits on the winning team.
Kyle managed to stick by Lisa’s side, and sell her out, simultaneously. Has such a feat ever been accomplished on Bravo? Kyle believes that she navigated the drama like a pro, but many viewers see through her game. I believe that as Lisa Vanderpump watches the unsettling season end, she sees it too.
