Drita’s had enough of the bull from the other ladies in the group. She still thinks Karen is obsessed with her husband Lee. She says she’s now in a good place with her family, but Karen is trying to screw everything up. Anyways, good news. The rough draft of her book is done and she’s sending it to her agent. It’s the best feeling in the World! Gizelle thinks the book is too long. She’s not interested. Drita just wanted to let someone know her book is done. Gizelle’s birthday is coming up, and she wants another dog. Drita doesn’t think daddy will let her, but he’ll do anything for her if she gives him those puppy dog eyes.
Renee’s not a happy camper. AJ has received over three grand’s worth of tickets. The tickets are killing Renee. She’s sick of it. She’s not excited about paying his Bullcrap bills. Yes, Renee is happy to have her son home. She’s happy her son is independent. She’s proud her son is growing into a man. She’s not happy he’s getting tickets for peeing in public. She gives her son the World, but apparently he’s forgotten how to look for a toilet when he has to pee. Renee bitches about never seeing AJ. AJ has the perfect solution. Find a hobby. He gives his mom the “fitness is good” speech. Translation: Mom you’re too obsessed with my life. Renee’s finding it hard to let go of her only child, but she knows her son is an adult. She has to let go.
Brittany meets Karen in the city for some shopping. Wait for it. Tasmanian Devil is about to start a you know what storm. Karen compliments Brittany on her fashion show. Brittany says that show was her favorite. Karen asks if she invited Carla and Renee. She says she didn’t because she’s over the drama. Brittany, do you hate being called out on your crap maybe? Brittany talks about how off the hook crazy Drita went after her sit down with Renee. She says Marissa told Drita about the “men playing nice” talk that didn’t happen. Drita blames Karen for starting that rumor. Drita says Karen’s obsessed with her marriage. Karen says “Bitch wants to start trouble. I’m not bringing up men, bitch.” Brittany backtracks a little bit and blames Marissa. She says I’m not sure how MARISSA said it. Everything was fine with Drita and Karen until Marissa sat down with Drita. So, here we go with the Staten Island telephone game. Karen says Marissa told her it was Drita. Drita can never admit when she’s wrong, so she blames Karen. Brittany says Drita thinks Karen’s obsessed with Lee. Then Karen goes off. She says no. She’s not obsessed with Drita’s hubby. She has a man. Then she goes off on a curseword filled Lee sucks rant. Karen also says Drita copies everything she does. Karen wrote a book about her life. Now Drita’s writing a book. You get the gist of this argument.
Big Ang is cleaning house, and all that. Neil comes over with a peace offering. Flowers. Ang says he can take the flowers and shove them. Neil says they have communication problems, and Ang needs all the support she can get while she’s going through all of her health problems. He apologizes for not going to her last appointment. He promises to be there for her from now on. Ang is stressed out. The appointment Neil didn’t go to was the scariest thing she’s ever gone through. She says she can’t do it all. She knows Neil’s right. She needs help, and Neil’s offering. Neil says her health is more important. He’s coming home.
The girls (minus Drita and Brittany) are having a day at the park. They’re playing Bocce Ball. The wise guys favorite sport. Thanks for that tidbit of info Renee. Karen says she’s not in a good place. When Marissa sits down she fills the girls in on everything Brittany said. Marissa says the only person bringing up “man’s business” is Drita. She never said Karen’s name. Drita blamed Karen. Marissa says Drita’s a damn liar. Carla says that’s Drita’s way of not taking responsibility. Renee says Brittany needs to mind her business. She’s a “fence hopper.” She hears things from one side and repeats them to the other. It just causes problems. Renee says she’s done with Brittany. Don’t bring Brittany around. They just had a sit down about this. They made a truce. Drita broke it. Karen is done with the games Drita plays. Renee says they have a problem. 9 motherf**king 1-1. Karen goes on an anti Drita/Anti Lee rant. Something about being a snitch, sleeping around Staten Island, and being a laughing stalk.
Ang heads to NYC to yet another specialist for the nodule on her lung. She has hubby Neil by her side. Ang’s really glad Neil came with her. She’s getting really scared about her upcoming surgery. She is over Drs. The Dr. explains the surgery. Ang has to be under general anesthesia. It’s a robotic surgery to take out the piece of her lung with cancer. After the Dr’s finished, Ang is more nervous than ever.
Renee’s in a good place in her life. She has AJ and Andrea living with her. She thinks of them as one big happy family. AJ thinks of his mom as one big pain in the ass. So, Renee’s taking her son’s advice. She’s getting a hobby. Dancing. She used to dance when she was younger. She has to trust Alex her dance partner. Renee says the lifestyle she comes from isn’t exactly a trusting one. She enjoys doing something healthy and drama free.
Carla brings decorating guru Big Ang with her to pick out some new furniture. They sit down in the middle of the furniture store to have a mini-bonding session. Ang says she’s getting surgery on Friday. Carla just says oh my God. Surgery gives Ang anxiety. She hates it. Carla says she hopes this is the last surgery. Ang has been through a lot lately. She hopes for the best. So, after Ang breaks her news, they need to cheer up. Carla fills Ang in on the newest Karen/Drita drama. Ang is sick of the she said/she said drama. She’s sick of it. Six years are enough. Oh and Marissa/Brittany need to mind their own business. Ang says Karen/Drita need to hash it out.
Karen and her daughter Karina decide to pull out drawings from Sammy The Bull. He was in solitary for seven years. To keep from going insane, one of the other prisoners suggested drawing. Then he started sending his drawings to Karen. She collected them over the years. One of the drawings is of Karina when she was a lot younger. That one’s a keeper. Karen wants to show her dad has another side. Maybe add Picasso to his resume under mob informant?
The Staten Island Telephone game continues. Ang visits Drita at her store I guess to get her side of the argument. She really wants the girls to get along bless her heart. Drita does one of her famous rants. She calls a tube of lipstick Carla. Then she goes on some kind of threaten Karen, everyone’s scared of me rant. Same old Drita B.S. I cringe every time a Drita segment comes on. She’s so ridiculous.
The girls want to cheer Ang up, and have a good time. Karen’s inspired by her dad’s drawings. They decide to take an art class with a twist. The twist is their subject is a naked man. Ang seems to enjoy the male form. Renee apparently hasn’t seen a penis in the light for a long time. Marissa just laughs, and Karen’s enjoying the penis show. Anyways, they finish their drawings. Ang had the best drawing so she got a little reward. She got to take a selfie with the naked man.
It’s early in the morning, and Ang is up early. It’s the day of her surgery, and Ang is really scared. She wants to be around for her grandchildren, and her kids. She’s the glue that holds her family together. She breaks down, and confesses how anxious she is about it. Neil goes with her for support. He gives her words of encouragement on the way to the hospital. Ang says having Neil by her side feels good. She can’t do it all by herself. She says “You know I’ve done a lot in my life. I had a full life. But I’m not done here. I gotta be around. Cause I wanna see my grandchildren.” Such a touching statement. It’s how Ang lived her life. She loved her family, her friends, and her fans. The episode ends with Neil looking at Ang lovingly and says “You’ll be fine.” Then they walk into the hospital together.
