On tonight’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, we’ll meet Gizelle Bryant’s ex-husband, megachurch pastor and activist, Jamal Bryant, 44.

According to Gizelle, 45, her ex husband  “was a cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater” and “he loved to hide his salami,” as she described in the series premiere.

The couple were married for 7-years and despite divorcing, they sustain a strong bond for their kids,

“Right now, we’re in a super great place,” Gizelle told The Daily Dish. “We’re great friends. We respect each other’s space. We’re co-parenting our kids. He’s doing phenomenal things in the community with Black Lives Matter. He’s like one of the best preachers I’ve ever heard preach.”

Gizelle had no reservations about sharing her ex-husband’s infidelity on reality TV.

“He and I have been divorced for a long time. So it’s far removed from both of us,” she said. “It wasn’t like it was new information. Everybody knows why we got a divorce. It’s kind of like no big deal.”

The former couple manage to effectively co-parent their three daughters — Grace, Angel, and Adore — by staying in communication.

“It’s a process, but I am always open to communicate with him as it relates to the kids. The kids are with me the majority of the time, so he trusts me enough with the kids that I’m always going to think of them first. He and I have a great line of communication,” Gizelle said. “And we try to do a lot of things together. Like, we’ll go to dinners together as a family. Even over Christmas holiday, we took a little vacation together. If we can get it done as it relates to the kids and just us spending as much time together as a family, we do it. I feel like it’s the best thing for the kids, and the kids love to have their mommy and their daddy there with them.”

Unfortunately, their happily ever after ended in a divorce after Gizelle found out that her husband was cheating from the mistress! “Actually the young lady told me,” she admitted to OK Magazine “She called me and told me. That was a lovely day.”

After the mistress spilled the affair tea to Gizelle, she confronted Jamal.

“So then after that, obviously I approached him about it and he admitted it,” she said. “So the rest of it, the meat of the infidelity came from him. Not from her.”
