RECAP: Love & Hip Hop New York “Love & War” [Season 6, Episode 9]

So, we left off with Mariah gets busted playing both Rich and Cisco. She takes off upset, and the former creep squad brothers are about to come to blows. Cisco is done with Mariah. Cisco claims he used Mariah to “get back at Rich.” Rich asks if he’s done now. Cisco says no. Rich says, then it was a waste. Neither of them give a flying you-know-what about Mariah whoring her way to the top. Rich says he cares about making things right with Cisco. Rich says he knew exactly what Cisco was doing as soon as he heard about Cisco/Mariah. Rich says he went straight to Cisco about the Mariah situation. Bottom line: Cisco was out for blood. Rich was attempting to show his loyalty, and he wanted to leave the past in the past. Tempers flared, and Cisco got a shove in before security broke it up.

Mariah’s waiting outside for her former flame. She wanted to let him know no one will break her down. She says after everything she just heard about Cisco using her (for revenge), she’s done with him. Cisco says he thought he had something with Mariah, but he doesn’t deal with disloyalty. He says he has to handle both Rich and Mariah. Mariah says he doesn’t have to handle her. She’s good. Cisco simply walks away.

Yorma is happy to report her relationship with Self is back on track. Yorma meets her very opinionated little sister. Her sister doubles as a social media stalker. She shows Yorma a picture posted of Self and Rose on Instagram. He didn’t hide his creeping well because he called her on his show. Yorma wants to believe her boyfriend has turned over a new leaf, but sister isn’t falling for it. She says Rose is acting way too comfy. She wouldn’t be calling him “guapo” if she only met him once or twice. Yorma says a small part of her doesn’t believe Self has changed. Well, little sister wants to go straight to the source. Rose’s shop is right around the corner. Little sis wants to ask Rose about her relationship with Self. Yorma doesn’t feel right about going into someone’s place of business with personal drama, but she doesn’t trust Self to tell her the truth. She wants to do it. Little sis has her back.

Remi and Pap’s wedding is a month away, and she has a gazillion things to do. She’s a micromanager, but she admits she needs some help. She called in reinforcements. No, not her BFF Rah Ali. She calls in Yandy. Yandy is a little too excited about the wedding dress. Instead of explaining Remi’s wedding dress, she says “our wedding dress.” Remi called Yandy because she just got married. Her wedding is over. Remi is the bride. Yandy wants sparkles and glitter. Remi isn’t into all that. Remi has a lot going on. She unloads all her drama on Yandy. Remi fought with her mom via text. She’s not sure she wants her mom at her wedding. Yandy had some major drama with her own mother-in-law. She thinks Remi needs to make up with her mom because she would regret it if her mom skipped her wedding.

Mendeecees sentencing date has been postponed. He wanted to make sure his family is being taken care of. He catches up with his buddy Cam’ron in the studio. Mendeecees has a sneaker line coming out. He might need Cam’ron’s help. That’s business for another day. It’s time to talk about music. When Mendeecees was in jail, he wrote raps when he got bored. Cam’ron wants to see what he’s got. When Mendeecees gets done, clearly his friend is impressed.

With the wedding date coming closer, Pap is playing family therapist. Since Yandy co-signed, Remi invited her mom over for a chat. She hasn’t spoken to her mom in months. She fought with her mom via text message. Remi wants to respect her husband’s wishes and smooth things over with her mom. Pap says this is a necessary step to mending broken relationships. He knows it’s going to be tough for Remi because she puts up a tough exterior when she’s hurt. Mom sits down and cracks a joke. Then she gets down to business. Mom says she was hurt because her own daughter didn’t invite her to the wedding. Her son-in-law did. Mom says she though Remi didn’t want her at the wedding.

Pap says these ladies have a lot of love for eachother, but they also have a lot of pride. Mom says she knows it was tough for Remi in prison, but it was hard for her loved ones on the outside too. She wanted to visit her daughter, but she couldn’t afford to go up there. Remi isn’t budging. She thinks her mom didn’t pitch in like she should. Instead, she put all the weight on Pap. That wasn’t right. Mom thinks her daughter hates her. Remi breaks down. She’s ready to move past all the hurt. She doesn’t want her mom to skip her wedding. She officially invites her mom. That’s all she wanted.

Yorma and little sis are ready to ask Rose about her relationship with Self. As soon as Yorma walks in, Rose recognizes her. “She’s always crying on gram about how much she loves Self.” It would be a big coincidence. Yorma plays it cool. She calmly asks Rose if she’s seeing Self. Rose says yes. Yorma announces Self is her boyfriend. Rose thinks Yorma’s nuts if she thinks Self is going to want her after boinking her. If she finds out Yorma really is Self’s girlfriend, he’s going to have a lot of explaining to do. Suddenly these ladies have mouths like sailors. They start cursing at eachother. Little sis pipes up and says she’s not scared of Rose and her sister. Uh oh. All hell breaks loose. Yorma starts trashing the store while Rose, and little sis get held by security so they won’t throw down.

Remi says her meeting with her mom was very emotional. She’s now ready to put all of her energy into the wedding. She meets Pap for a romantic date. She’s hoping the romance will soften things. She made a major decision without him. She’s changing the venue of their wedding. Pap says hell no! He not only secured the venue, he put a large deposit down. Remi says the outside of the castle won’t mix with her “winter wonderland” theme. Remi wants snow and ice. Pap gives in. They’re only getting married once. He’s not going to rain on her parade.

Yorma and little sis are continuing their screw Self tour. They’re ready to confront him now. So, they show up at the radio station. Yorma calls him and demands he meet her outside. She’s tired of his Bull. So, Self comes outside. Yorma and little sis are ready to pounce. When confronted Self denies Rose is his side piece. Self says he never “smashed Rose.” The chemistry was totally one-sided. He continues to deny…deny…deny even after Yorma says she went to The Beauty Bar to confront Rose. Yorma is done. She’s tired of Self disrespecting her. She’s done with him. He can go fu*k himself.

So, Peter has all this drama going on in his own life. Instead of dealing with his own mess, he takes on the Cisco/Rich drama. Exactly what he doesn’t need. Maybe Peter’s turning over a new leaf? Let’s be real. Peter is king of the creep squad. Peter drops his Amina/Tara bomb. Rich says that’s messiness not even the creep squad could co-sign. Rich says Peter is irresponsible and selfish. Rich fills Peter in on his fight with Cisco. Peter thinks it’s HIS job to put the creep squad back together.

Remi needs to get some aggression out. She takes some boxing lessons. In the spirit of dealing with the bulls**t, she wants to smooth things over with Rah. Remi knows if she’s going to make it to the wedding in one piece, she needs her friends. Rah says even with all the fashion show drama, she still wants to help Remi with her wedding. Remi is relieved to hear it. Honestly, I will never understand Rah, and Remi’s passive/aggressive friendship. Remi says she’s brought in someone else to help her. In walks Yandy. Rah says Yandy doesn’t even know Remi. Rah feels ambushed. Remi needs Yandy’s wedding connections.

Finally, we get to the Creep Squad sit down. Mediated by Peter “I can’t keep it in my pants” Gunz. Too bad we have to wait 2 whole weeks to find out if Rich and Cisco kiss and make up.
